Popis: | Twenty-three unrelated Japanese patients with asthma who showed a high total serum IgE level, a strong skin test response to Dermatophagoides farinae, and a high score on a radioallergosorbent test (RAST) using Dermatophagoides farinae were typed for HLA-A locus, -B locus, and -D region antigens. No significant difference in the frequencies of HLA-A, -B, and -DR antigens were observed between the asthma patients and the healthy controls. A significant difference in the frequency of MB3', however, was found between the asthma patients and the healthy controls (corrected p = 0.04, relative risk = 18.5). |
