Popis: | Modularity as a combination of multiple repeated motor modules is introduced in this paper as a tool to reduce mechanical resonances. A simulation model in Matlab/Simscape of a representative modular application is built. Both the mechanical drivetrain and the motor controller are modelled. The dynamic behaviour of the mechanical model is validated through experimental measurements on a test setup. Mitigation of mechanical resonances through a modular driveline is evaluated with the simulation model. Comparison against a reference benchmark with only one motor shows a 73 % reduction of the RMS value of mechanical resonances for the modular architecture when an interleaving control strategy is applied. |
