Popis: | The effect of opiate antagonist therapy with naloxone on hemorrhagic shock was examined. An equivalent intravenous bolus of naloxone or normal saline had the same pressor effect in conscious, unrestrained, hypovolemic hypotensive rats. The proposal that opiate antagonists are of therapeutic value in the treatment of hemorrhage is questioned. |
