Popis: For shape analysis of plants and their parts is used principal components analysis of elliptical Furieovih descriptors. As a result of the analysis are obtained independent features of shape - the principal component which enabled quantified analysis of shape. For the shape analysis it was randomly selected fifty varieties of pear fruits Williams. The fruits are placed on a dark background in a reclined position. Dark background creates a good contrast between the background and fruit, making it easier to detect the contours of pears. Variations shape of a pear can be covered with the principal component 1 and 2 (PC1 and PC2). It also shows that the principal components 3, 4 and 5 (PC3, PC4 and PC5) have very little shape variation so that they can be ignored.
