Popis: | A methadone resin salt for oral administration was produced in order to prevent, or at least diminish, the abuse of methadone during a maintenance programme with heroin-addicts. This salt will also lead to a more continuous release of the drug, depending on the cation concentration in the gastrointestinal tract, thus resulting in a more constant plasma level. In vivo andin vitro experiments were performed with various sulphonic acid resin salts of quinine and methadone, in which the quinine salts were used as model substances for the methadone salt. |
