Effect of aromatic ?-substrates on the exchange dynamics of axial ligands in iron(III) porphyrins

Popis: The effect of aromatic π-substrates on the rate of inversion of Fe3+ in five-coordinate high-spin iron(III) porphyrins has been investigated using PMR. It was shown that π-substrates may influence both associative and dissociative inversion channels; π-donor and π-acceptor effects have opposite signs in the latter case, indicating that the influence of π-substrates acts by an electronic mechanism.
