Popis: | It has been established that in the interaction of NdCl 3 and YCl 3 with RLi, where R CH 2 C 6 H 5 , CH 2 C(CH 3 ) 2 C 6 H 5 , CH 2 Si(CH 3 ) 3 , unusual organometallic compounds are formed. They are stable in hydrocarbon solutions. The benzyl and neophyl derivatives are carbene type complexes containing one R group at a trivalent metal atom. In all cases the reaction is accompanied by the evolution of RH as the main product and some stilbene and tolan when R CH 2 C 6 H 5 . The mechanism of this reaction is discussed. |
