The liquid state infrared spectra of bis(t-butyl) fluorophosphine and bis(t-butyl) chlorophosphine were recorded from 3100 to 33 cm−1. Corresponding Raman displacements are reported as well as polarization data. Assignments of fundamental frequencies are consistent with Cs symmetry for the skeletal framework and local C3v for the t-butyl groups. The assignments are compared with those of the related t-butyl-dihalophosphines reported earlier. |
