Popis: Summary The severity of a chronic delayed hypersensitivity reaction produced in the guinea pig colon by a constant concentration of 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene is dependent on the frequency of application of the contactant allergen. The intensity of this reaction can be modified, but not predictably or completely, by azathioprine. The microscopic lesions produced were necrosis of the mucosa, hemorrhagic fibrin deposition, infiltration of small round cells, edema, and perivascular cuffing.
