Abstrakt: Highly antigen-loaded nanofibers were successfully prepared by the self-assembly of ß-sheet forming peptides conjugated with antigenic peptides and cell penetrating peptides (CPP). The nanofibers with lengths of 240 ± 100 nm were taken up more efficiently by murine macrophage-like cells than monomeric CPP-modified antigenic peptides. This self-assembly approach may provide a facile method for creating nanoparticle-based vaccines without complicated multistep procedures.
