Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study based on a hypothesis that the cutaneous irritation caused by topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) could be suppressed by the protective effects of trehalose on biological membranes. Through the Living Skin Equivalent-high human skin model, the effect of the non-reducing disaccharide trehalose was reinforced by co-lyophilization of NSAIDs. It shows how co-lyophilization of NSAIDs with trehalose may be a novel procedure to prevent skin irritation. |
