A series of novel 2-(4-allylpiperazin-1-yl)-1-(1-aryl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl) etalons were synthesized with excellent yields by the reaction of 1-(1-aryl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-2-(piperazin-1-yl) ethanones with allyl bromide and one equivalent of triethylamine in acetonitrile under nitrogen atmosphere. Spectral data (FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and HSQC) was used to characterize all produced substances and screened against antimicrobial activities. A few of the compounds were shown to be as potent as or more effective than conventional medicines. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
