Abstrakt: Selectively functionalized cyclodextrins with a bodipy fluorescent tag or Gd(3+) complex were synthetized and threaded onto a polyammonium chain to form polyrotaxanes. This modular supramolecular assembly makes an ideal platform for bimodal (fluorescent and MRI) imaging applications.
