Popis: This book discusses new perspectives on good corporate governance principles. It focuses on ESG, the history of good corporate practices and aspects of business human rights, as well as international developments in the way business human rights should be protected by domestic companies, using as an example the duty of corporate vigilance issued by France. The book also discusses relevant Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) documents or instruments, including those pertaining to international good corporate governance practices for pension funds, cross-border exchange listings, investments, cell captives and administrative decisions relevant to investment treaties. In addition, recent international developments emanating from the United Nations and relevant to companies or enterprises are also examined. In general, the book is written from a South African perspective, explaining what amounts to current good corporate governance practices.
