In the context of the internationalization of teaching and academic research, in this volume are published a series of original ‘Advanced Law for Economics'essays, which could serve both as a textbook in the advanced courses of Italian university studies for students from all over the world and to spread knowledge of Italian financial market and economic regulation abroad, so also promoting the attraction of foreign investments. Part I deals with Economic public law issues, as well as Economic Constitutionalism, public and private enforcement and regulatory objectives pursued by the public enforcer, public enterprises in Italian legal order, the Italian model of ‘parliamentary appointing power'at Independent Administrative Authorities. Part II deals with Banking and Financial law issues, as well as banking corporate governance and non executive directors in Italian law, anti-money laundering policies and the protection of financial integrity, composition with creditors and debt restructuring arrangements, deposit guarantee schemes and depositor preference regulation. Roberto Miccú is Full Professor of Public Law at Sapienza University of Rome and Coordinator of the Law for Economics Section of the Economics and Law Department. Coordinator of the PhD. in Public Law for Economics and Member of the doctoral committee of the Ph.D. in ‘Public, Comparative and International Law'at Sapienza University of Rome. He is member of the Italian Association of Constitutional Law and member of the European Constitutional Law Network; he has been Visiting Professor at many law schools including ‘Max Planck-Institut for Comparative Public and International Law', (Heidelberg), ‘Europa-Institut'Saarland University, Humboldt University (Berlin), Exeter, Basque Country, Unisinos (Porto Alegre), Mackenzie Presbyterian University (São Paulo). His main work and research areas are Public Law, European Constitutional Law, Comparative Public Law, Economic Public Law, Energy Law, General Theory of Law and State (roberto.miccu@uniroma1.it).Domenico Siclari is Associate Professor of Economic and Financial Markets Law at Rome Sapienza University, Department of Economics and Law. He had previously worked as officer at Bank of Italy in Rome (1999-2003) and, later, as Counselor of the Italian Parliament-Chamber of Deputies (2003-2013), where he has been in charge of the Finance Division of Research Department since 2004. His main work and research areas are banking and financial regulation and supervision, business law, economic public law, regulation models, with research experience at the Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches öffentliches Recht und Völkerrecht in Heidelberg. In December 2013 he received the National Academic Qualification as Full Professor.
