An interview with Dora Schilling and Maria Palacio, U.S. librarians who have worked with Hispanic American teenagers, is presented. Schilling describes the experience of working with Hispanic American teens, particularly boys. Topics discussed include strategies for overcoming the hurdle of English as a second language, library programs that appeal to this population, and lessons learned from working with Hispanic American teenage boys. |
