Abstrakt: As new professionals in library science, graduate students are expected to learn about emerging issues and engage with the professional conversations of the field. One tool that can be used to gauge master's student knowledge of library science issues is the master's paper. This study examines the subject headings assigned to master's papers submitted for the Master of Science in Library Science degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2008 to 2010. Trends observed master's paper topics are identified and then related to trends observed in library science professional literature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
