Abstrakt: An Alzheimer's disease diagnosis is heart-breaking for the individual and his or her loved ones. It robs the person of memories, independence, and personality. Since there is currently no cure, one option available to patients and families is to participate in clinical trials. Clinical trials enable researchers and physicians to know which protocols and medications are effective against disease. With 5.2 million Americans diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, and with that number predicted to increase as the population ages, clinical trials are vital to discovering new treatment options. This article explores web resources about Alzheimer clinical trials, where to find trials, and Spanish language clinical trial resources. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
