Abstrakt: The article offers the author's insights on the importance of identifying effective transgender (trans) novels for adolescent readers. The author mentions that effective trans novels for young adults provide safe space wherein they can consider the arbitrary of the nature of gender. She provides novels which she considered to be the most effective and realistic trans novels including "Choir Boy," by Charlie Jane Anders, "I am J," by Cris Beam, and "Being Emily," by Rachel Gold.
