Abstrakt: Networked communications are changing the way libraries function, both as research institutions and as business operations. Librarians are currently struggling to discover a rational approach to the vast array of information sources on the Internet and to use networking capabilities to enhance internal communications and improve work flow conditions within their institutions. The training of both librarians and library patrons in network-based research and communications promises to become a major challenge of the 1990s. This paper describes the comprehensive network training program developed at the Rutgers University Libraries. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
