This article discusses how the Academic Library of the University of Vienna in Vienna, Austria used Quick Response (QR) Codes, a bar code, in order to help library users find works that were not available in a printed format on the online library database. Topics discussed include how many library users were not familiar with the online database, how they glued the QR Codes to the library shelves as place holders, and how people with smart phones were able to access the items using the codes. |
