| Abstrakt: |
The article discusses the Animal Lovers Club of the Hampton Bays Public Library's Teen Department in New York. The whole lobby of the department is dedicated to its local animal shelter, the Southampton Animal Shelter where photographs of teenagers and animals are displayed. A brief history of the animal club is provided. Some of the lessons learned by teenagers at the club are baking biscuits for the shelter and attending shelter events for awareness and fund raising. |
