The article reports on the three big mistakes the author made in the media analysis he reported in his article "The TV-Web-Net Appliance: All in the Family Room?" which appeared in the October 1999 issue of the "Searcher" magazine. Among his confessions is that he overestimated the speed with which prices for hardware and digital televisions would decline. He says the device environment will keep changing, and that the next information revolution, in view of the power shift from West to East, may be available in Chinese and English via Google Translate. |
