The article presents a study which investigate the penetration rate of enzyme α-Amylase into the paper and its various means of acceleration to remove starch-based adhesives. The study made use of a vertical static diffusion cell for the monitoring of penetration rate . Results of the study show that the process of penetration can be accelerated for 30 minutes through ultrasound. Results also indicate that ultrasound has no negative effect on the activity of ether enzyme. |
