Abstrakt: The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC in Spanish, http://www.csic.es) is the largest public institution dedicated to research with more than a hundred centers and institutes nationwide. Its main objective is to develop and promote research that will help bring about scientific and technological progress and to collaborate with Spanish and foreign entities in order to achieve it. Digital.CSIC was created to maximize the international visibility, accessibility and impact of CSIC research by taking advantage of innovations in the field of information management and by participating actively in the open access movement.
