Abstrakt: The article offers information on the splendidly bound books collected by London, England businessman John Blacker which was left to his son when he died on April 6, 1896. Though they were all found to be fake, they were sold as magnificent modern bindings on November 11, 1897, at auction company Sotheby's. It is also mentioned that Blacker owned 15 more manuscripts owned by French King Henri II and her mistress Diane de Poitiers, aside from those included in the collection.
