Abstrakt: The author discusses the importance of booktalking to librarians. She points out that booktalks can be used by librarians to reach out to the people at the senior center or assist the local book groups decide what to read next. She explains that booktalking refers to providing an audience a snapshot of a book. She also offers tips on how librarians can provide an effective booktalk including reading the book themselves to be able to familiarize its content. She further emphasizes on the need for the librarians to choose the right book for the booktalk.
