Abstrakt: A discussion of the emergence of the Nwankwo-Ifejika Company, a native publisher, in Nigeria. Beginning with biographical notes on the co-founders and co-owners, Arthur Nwankwo and Samuel Ifejika, the authors show how the two men began with virtually no funds in the inauspicious economic atmosphere of the aftermath of the Nigerian civil war and have subsequently laid the foundation of a promising publishing enterprise. The market they hope to cater to is described and analyzed in some detail, and their initial work and the multitudinous problems they have faced are enumerated.
