The American Theological Library Association (ATLA) was organized in 1947. Its purpose is "to bring its members into closer working relations with each other and with the American Association of Theological Schools, to study the distinctive problems of the theological library, and to promote library service and librarianship among the institutions of AATS and theological education in general." The work accomplished by the various committees and the funds granted it by foundations are described. |
