| Abstrakt: |
The article reports that the bipartisan leadership of the House Judiciary Committee introduced the Prioritizing Resources and Organization for Intellectual Property (PRO IP) Act of 2007. It is cited that one provision concerning copyright statutory damages would have an impact on libraries, while the bill has an impact on IP infringement. It is said that Howard Berman has asked the Copyright office to have a convention on January 2008 to discuss the provision. It is mentioned that Berman decided to drop section 104, and the PRO IP Act was reported out of the subcommittee without the provision. |
