The article focuses on the collaborative initiatives between the University of Alberta Libraries and the Stanley A. Milner Library of the Edmonton Public Library to serve the entire city of Edmonton and to enrich the broader community in Alberta. It discusses the contribution of the Alberta Library (TAL), a province-wide consortium, in the collaboration between the University of Alberta Libraries and the Edmonton Public Library. It states that staff expertise is readily shared between the two libraries. It is inferred that a proposed public library service venue in the university library and public library cards for students is the latest collaborative initiative between the two libraries. |
