Abstrakt: Due to tracking into specific areas of librarianship, most recent graduates of library degree programs are unfamiliar with areas not their own. Academic librarians, for example, often do not take classes in children's literature. However, academic librarians supporting education programs are often called on to develop and manage children's literature collections.
