The article reports that the skills developed by British managers from a different sector who have entered higher education transfer well to university management according to research by Manchester University in England. Malcolm Harper, staff development adviser at the university, noted that recently appointed manager entering higher education from other sectors felt their skills were being fully used. It found that 70 percent of respondents complain that decision-making is too slow in higher education. |
