The article suggests ways of finding a good mentor that may help professionals develop their career. Bryan Cunningham, a lecturer at the Institute of Education, says that a good mentor should be open to professional learning that comes from contact with a newcomer. It advises mentees to determine what they want to improve further and be ready to admit to things that have gone less well. Ewart Woolridge, chief executive of the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education, recommends evaluation of the mentoring process. |
