Abstrakt: The article offers information about different libraries in the world. The David Sassoon Library is located in Mumbai, India. This institution is considered to be the oldest library in the city. It has been restored with terrace that adjoins the reading room. It has a collection of about 40,000 books. The Asiatic Society was born as the Library Society of Bombay in 1804. It offers manuscripts in Sanskrit, Arabic and Persian, and numismatic collection. The British Council Library is popular with students who appreciate the modern environment as well as the efficient services. It is offering diverse reading materials, both recreational and professional.
