The article focuses on the University of Washington (UW) Libraries Digital Collections developed by the UW Libraries Digital Initiatives and the phenomenon called Wikipedia in the U.S. The UW Libraries Digital Collections are composed of more than 120,000 images, texts and audio files related to various topics and resources. Wikipedia is a free, online encyclopedia that provides an essential tool for getting digital collections out to users at the point of their information need. |
