The article reports on a seminar focusing on the challenge that librarians face in meeting the needs of users in the information society. Among the challenges and opportunities discussed were: transformations to the roles of librarians and reference librarians related to technological innovations, the consolidation of information service providers, and the use of social networking programs by libraries. |
