Abstrakt: |
The article reports on research concerning spam emails, which are unsolicited emails that market a product or service. The researchers set up a number of fictitious email accounts with various web email providers. The researchers found that age affected spam--users who were over 30 received more spam than 15 year-old-users in their tests. Also, the research found that the rate of spam was not tied to gender--however, it was tied to whether or not someone was likely to make an online purchase. The researchers founds that the rate of spam varied depending on the web email provider. |
