The article discusses recent developments in the Preserving Access to Digital Information (PADI) subject gateway. PADI was developed in late 1990s to digitally preserve information resources like websites, reports, blogs and articles. PADI subject gateway has a database of about 2,000 resources. To help users find the resources, several strategies like historical tag, expanded thesaurus and PADI trails, have been developed. The Network of Expertise in Long-Term Storage of Digital Resources' subject gateway has cooperated with the PADI subject gateway to exchange the metadata content of their databases. |
