The article discusses a workshop which addressed the planning and implementation of a union list of serials. The workshop was led by presenters Hana Komorous and Patricia S. Banach which based their discussions on issues related to union lists in machine-readable form. The impact of budgetary restraints on the need for libraries to share resources as well as the practicalities and politics of creating a union list of serials was highlighted by Komorous. A union list of serials is aimed at providing access to serial titles. |
