The article presents the changes effected by a certain university in the way they acquire electronic journals and the impact of these changes on its serials acquisitions unit. It states that libraries today face the challenge of managing the continuing evolution of electronic journals by organizing serial acquisitions operations. Various solutions are created by libraries to handle the acquisitions of electronic journals, including the establishment of an electronic resources unit, integrating print and electronic journal acquisitions, and electronic resource management system and electronic journal archiving. |
