Abstrakt: The article reports on serials cataloging in the digital environment. Cataloging provides users with access to material by creating a surrogate access via appropriate search terminology. Searches may be through printed catalog, card catalog, OPAC or another database such as ContentDM, or any other means. It is the role of a cataloger to organize information, facilitate the retrieval of the information by end users and provide access to library materials. Individual catalogers focus on providing access to materials their library collects and make it available to end users.
