The article offers advice for librarians at Illinois State University in Normal planning for an in-library video facility. A planning committee at the university depends on sources of information and guidance from catalogues of manufacturers of video tapes and professional expertise of media personnel at the university. Issues facing the planning committee include maintenance and repair of equipment and security measures necessary in a video facility. One of the limitations of the facility is not to offer video tape copying services. |
