The article reports on the Visual Resources Automation Issues Discussion Session during the 18th annual conference of the Art Libraries Society of North America held in New York City in February 1990. A recount of the attempt by New England slide librarians to share information on automation systems was provided. Results of a survey on the status of automation projects at institutions were presented. There was also a discussion on the experiences of groups in automation information gathering. |
