Abstrakt: |
The article reports on the development of methods of effective use of resources in large-scale computational biomedical problems in the grid environment. The non-governmental, non-profit scientific institution Telecommunication Center "Science and Society" is the leading institution in Russia in interdisciplinary grid development. Different methods of formal presentation of ontologies were investigated in order to use them to link contents of heterogeneous biomedical databases of Federal Scientific Program. The first experiments of grid-based calculations of actual biophysical problems made interaction with applied specialists possible and allowed the development of "gridification." Although the problem was not complicated enough to convert it into a distributed version, the successful and useful implementation was of serious interest to the Russian BioGrid segment from the biophysics and biochemistry community. Experiments with scientific problems that include both intensive computations and intensive data interchange have shown the usefulness of the technology of libraries of strategies. |
