The author recounts her experience as an academic librarian with interlibrary loans mailed to Canada from the US. She then examines a series of questions regarding charges for parcel post packages in interlibrary mail, whether interlibrary loans are subject to customs inspection, whether it matters that interlibrary loan books do not remain within national borders, and what regulations should be cited if an interlibrary loan is not handled properly.
