This paper introduces Spicers Centre for Europe a subsidiary of Spicer and Oppenheim specializing in the provision of information about the European Economic Community (EEC). Based in Leeds, it also has outlets worldwide in Amsterdam, Dublin, Dusseldorf and New York with further outlets planned. Spicers Center for Europe was established in late 1986 with the aim of creating an in house database of EEC material as the backbone of an EEC enquiry service using information specialists.
