Abstrakt: The implications of integrating hearing-impaired students into regular programs of education are examined from the perspective of impact upon library/resource personnel. Suggestions are offered on ways in which librarians and resources personnel can optimize facilities for use by students with impaired hearing. Adequate financial support, regional co-operation between libraries, increased awareness on the part of employers of teachers and library/resources staff are all vital factors as changes take place in attitude and access to education programs for people with disabilities [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
