Abstrakt: The North American Serials Interest Group (NASIG) met at Carnegie Mellon University in June 1999 for its 14th annual conference. Entitled 'From Carnegie to Internet2: Forging the Serials Future,' the conference brought together publishers, subscription agents, and librarians from around the world. Conference papers will be published in full in 'Serials Librarian.' Presents highlights of plenary and issue sessions offered on the network revolution in knowledge management; on information ecologies; on major trends; on libraries and electronic licensing; on unified searching of electronic information systems; on elements of style for next-generation serials EDI; on serials issues for the new millennium; on the impact of bundled databases on serials acquisitions in academic libraries; on the pricing implications of site and consortia licensing; on coming to grips with electronic resources; and on proposed revisions to the AACR2 to accommodate seriality.
