The Japan Science and Technology Corporation has developed a Web-based factual database system called ChemSource, which has been publicly available free of charge since August 1997. The system consists of three databases inherited from the JOIS-F system: Kelvin (Thermophysical and Thermochemical Property Database), Angstrom (Crystal Structure Database), and Dalton (Mass Spectrum Database). The system realizes GUI-based user-friendly interfacing and high-grade graphics display by using JavaScript and Java. Reports mainly on the operations of ChemSource. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
